Left to Dry
04:58
|
|||
Take a little, take a little bit of time
It’s OK, you can take some of mine
And carry on, if you like
You won’t be wrong if you’re right
I don’t know, I don’t know if there’s time
What is left, now slowly starts to unwind
And any time left behind isn’t mine
Won’t be the first time something dies
Might be the last time that we try
To ask ourselves why
The tears that we made
were left to dry
If we never, if we never took the time
To reach out, to believe we can be kind
Just waiting for the right time
Never shine, never shine
Did we never, did we never find the time
It didn’t feel like time was never on our side
But each moment that’s left passes by
Won’t be the first time something dies
Might be the last time that we try
To ask ourselves why
The tears that we made
were left to dry
The tears that we made
were left to dry
Take a little, take a little bit of time
It’s OK, you can take some of mine

Nothing There
06:45
|
|||
Did I book the dinner reservation?
Did I send directions where to go?
There’s been so much on television
My head is filled with shows about the mafia
And Danger Mouse is back
His voice is wrong but it's not that
Which is bugging me
It's that my head is filled with crap
But there’s nothing there
But there’s nothing there
(say something)
But there’s nothing there
(Say something)
But there’s nothing there
(Try not to bore them)
Did I book the dinner reservation?
Did I send directions where to go?
Have I got any information
That anyone in their right mind would want to know?
And they're all sitting down
While the menus are passed around
And why am I sitting here?
Who's idea was this to come?
But there’s nothing there
But there’s nothing there
(say something)
But there’s nothing there
(Say something)
But there’s nothing there
(Try not to bore them)

I/O
05:59
|
|||
Severed from the world, it throws me back
to the clearing where they
used to take a tally of their wares
(occupies the mind, a satellite
or more like a meteor
shower rushing through the nothing there),
Where I used to play, where once I fell
seeing stars, I half
arrived. It took a month and something more.
Drawn towards the vacuum and the dark,
we are volunteers for
walking when they open up the door.
Fear
of the silence, of the cause
of the depth of saturn's rings
of the numbers on the board
how they answer everything
You let somebody know
the descent onto the floor
a reach to the unknown
Please,
when all of this done
and we're back on our old ground
Read
the letters that we buried
if we never came back down
We
Grow younger here, the words
That we lost,
The living time
Eats
Away
As we rotate
Spinning down into the light
And i don't know if you're talking to me
And I don't know if I'm listening
But if we're changing the frequency then let me know
And I don't know if I'm walking weightless
But you keep saying there's gravity
The pull and the push, the cords to let me go
Fear
of the silence, of the cause
of the depth of saturn's rings
of the numbers on the board
how they answer everything
You let somebody know
the descent onto the floor
a reach to the unknown
Please,
when all of this done
and we're back on our old ground
Read
the letters that we buried
if we never came back down
We
Grow younger here, the words
That we lost,
The living time
Eats
Away
As we rotate
Spinning down into the light
We came back down
And living life
This life

Dreaming All Night Long
05:31
|
|||
I’ve been here all day long
Just thinking there’s nothing wrong
Like the time when we played monopoly
Like the time that you made me a cup of tea
Like the time I said that I love you
LIke the time you said you love me too
All I see is a memory, and never what we are
I’ve been dreaming all night long
Will wake up when it’s gone
I’ve been here all day long
Just thinking there’s something wrong
Like the time that you left with no goodbye
Like the time that I’d gone before you arrived
Like the time that you couldn’t understand
Like the time that I moved away my hand
Every time that I sit and I close me eyes
There’s a time there’s a place, there’s your beautiful face
And I know that I won’t be the same again
But I don’t really know what it means right now
I’ve been dreaming all night long
Will wake up when it’s gone

Flying Blind
08:50
|
|||
In Conversation with myself again
In Isolation, my dear old friend
Held inside for so long
I can hide, I have gone
The separation of the mind from soul
Annihilation, just letting go
Held inside for so long
I can hide, I have gone
Just falling in love
Just feeling in love
Just being in love
I can’t tell If you’re showing me everything
If the meaning of life is the meaning of this feeling
Flying so high, flying blind, flying free
We are just breathing, while we are still healing
The damage left, the damage done
Through your inspiration I can see again
Communication, my new favourite game
Held inside for so long
All I fear has now gone
Each new creation leads us to this place
This harmonisation of all time and space
Held inside for so long
All I fear has now gone

Holding On
03:13
|
|||
I never say what I’m meaning
I tell myself these lies
Out of touch with my feelings
Ain’t no shock, no surprise
I’m holding on for a reason
I’m holding on for dear life
Afraid of completion
afraid of the light
What’s taken me so long?
What’s the point in holding on?
And the minute that you open the door
I’m telling you I’m so sure
Nothing’s gonna make me
Change my mind
I know the reasons are nothing
I’m in a state of denial
I can act without thinking
I can deny it all
What’s taken me so long?
What’s the point in holding on?
And the minute that you open the door
I’m telling you I’m so sure

Empty Words
06:22
|
|||
I can’t do a lot
You can do no wrong
I can’t be enough
You can be so strong
I can’t see so well
And you can see it all
I can’t ever tell
If you’re just playing along
It’s so easy to hold back the truth
There’s no reason to do what we do
I just want you to know that I feel
Like there’s nothing we say that can be real
No more empty words
No more promises that we just can’t keep
And it runs so deep
But with all we’re fighting for
I can give till there’s no more

Last Known Survivor
07:16
|
|||
The day the world came down
They never had a doubt
And now before the day is done
We’re finding out
That the last known survivor
On the day they rode away
Looked again in the mirror
Took a breath, looked around
Sat down at the table and wrote it down
If he knew then what they know now
Would he go
And what he left behind
Was never there to show
That the last known survivor
On the day they rode away
In a heartbreaking letter
Gave the world what it knew,
And he blew it all away along the way
Read all about the fallen sailors on the sea
Their names were everything they need
Now they’re only memories
Read all about the darkest summer while they sleep
They sent their letters on the sea
Only echoes from the deep
Now just letters on the beach
That the last known survivor
On the day they rode away
Opened up their old letter
That they left tucked away
To be found on the day they rode away
Read all about the fallen sailors on the sea
Their names were everything they need
Now they’re only memories
Read all about the darkest summer while they sleep
They sent their letters on the sea
Only echoes from the deep
He read the letters on the beach

Wake Up
04:07
|
|||
The thoughts have gone away
The floors have no foundation
I’ll find another way
Through your imagination
Filled with all your warmth
And all your love
How does it feel to wake up
Open the door let some light in
FIll up your heart and be woken
I wonder if there’s light
I wonder if there’s air to breath
And no one ever cries
And no one ever follows me
To the river flowing silently
How does it feel to wake up
Open the door let some light in
The dreaming is over, the fun begins
How does it feel to wake up
Open the door let some light in
The dreaming is over tonight

The Battle is Won
03:22
|
|||
Your teeth are finally done
The time is moving along
Say goodnight
It’s late, I’ve got to get on
I’ll read you a chapter again
Just promise this night has an end
Say goodnight
It’s late, I’ve got to get on
Say goodbye, the curtains are drawn
For tonight, the battle is won
You’re never alone in the night
Just call out I’ll hear you alright
Say goodnight,
It’s late, I’d like to get on
It’s fine if you want me to stay
You know I won’t walk away
What is wrong?
It’s late, but that is OK
The moon is bright, the curtains are drawn
And tonight the stars will never be gone
And tonight, my star…. he’s gone
